Description
“He is horse most wanted by all of men, As quiet as a shadow and as dark as the night, He is as wild as a mountain lion with the speed of ten, He runs like a river in full flow with an instinct to fight.” ~Jessica Young
The mighty wild band stallion, Cocoa, was making his moves on young filly, Taylor! There was a lot of that going on at Theodore Roosevelt National Park, the stallions trying to lure away enticing young fillies from other stallions. Eventually Taylor’s band stallion, Thunder Cloud, had enough of it and quickly put a stop to Cocoa’s moves. There is emotion that leaves one speechless when the stallions make their moves, hauntingly intense!
Cocoa changed worlds in the spring of 2018. An injury and age getting the best of him. He did maintain a harem until almost his last days when the injury took its toll and his harem was taken by a younger, more virile stallion. As in the ways of the wilds their ways are not ours and Cocoa was born wild and had the great dignity to die wild, on his terms.
