Whiskers and Ears

HOLD YOUR HORSES!!! WHISKERS AND EARS ALERT!!!

Meet the newest addition to the band of Clinker!!!

His charming momma is Lacey and he arrived on or close to May 20th. After much discussion on his name and because of the limited amount of colts (boys) being born, Roosevelt was the choice!

Chad hiked in with me yesterday afternoon in the heat and we were well rewarded! Lincoln had hiked to Clinker on Tuesday and raised the baby watch alert and Wah Lah….here you have Roosevelt!

The best part about this little tyke are his ears! See if you can see what we saw!

In keeping with the theme of national parks for the 2015 wild horse foaling season in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, here is what the NPS says about TRNP:

“When Theodore Roosevelt came to Dakota Territory to hunt bison in 1883, he was a skinny, young, spectacled dude from New York. He could not have imagined how his adventure in this remote and unfamiliar place would forever alter the course of the nation. The rugged landscape and strenuous life that TR experienced here would help shape a conservation policy that we still benefit from today.”

Have an awesome Friday and a safe, fun, and memorable weekend!
