The Surprise

“I would love to live as the river flows, carried by the surprise of it’s unfolding.”

~John O’Donohue

Carried by the surprise! Definitely received an awesome surprise on Saturday! Here he is! Meet Rocky Mountain! His mom is Sweetheart, and his dad is the small and mighty Satellite!

North Dakota Badlands Horse, the official organization representing the wild horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, chooses the themes for the names of the foals each year.

In keeping with the theme of National Parks for the 2015 foaling year, here is what the NPS says about Rocky Mountain National Park:

“Rocky Mountain National Park’s 415 square miles encompass and protect spectacular mountain environments. Enjoy Trail Ridge Road – which crests over 12,000 feet including many overlooks to experience the subalpine and alpine worlds – along with over 300 miles of hiking trails, wildflowers, wildlife, starry nights, and fun times. In a world of superlatives, Rocky is on top!”

Have an awesome Tuesday in your part of the world! I hope it is filled with lots of pleasant surprises!
