Names of Places

“The names of places carry a charge of the people who named them.” ~John Steinbeck

Whistle Creek, Bridger Butte, Penney Gulch, Roan Wash or Red Point….colorful, rich with history, the 109,814 acres of MuCulloch Peaks whose names were assigned by those tough and rugged people who experienced the land before the time of barbed wire fences!

Looking out my window here in Cody I see a beautiful sunrise looming, snow covered peaks to the west, dry desert sage to the east. Today is a discovery day…exploring…getting reacquainted to the area and then tomorrow jumping in with both feet.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support and for spreading and sharing the word of the wild ones! Remember…your voice is their voice!
