So much going on, so much to share, and so little time! Yikes!

That said, a quick post this morning, and later this afternoon, I will share yesterday’s young love story!

The stallions are amazing here, well probably everywhere in the wild, because of their strength and presence and what they have to do to keep their bands and acquire additional mares for their harems.

This is Gary! A 1997 model. He keeps his ‘girls’ hidden away in the gullies and on top of the buttes south of the loop road. He is often seen from the interstate that borders the park. His current band consists of four mares and two yearlings. He is like the tide, ebbing and flowing just out of range of the other stallions.

There will be more baby Gary’s soon to carry on the lineage!!
